I cannot believe I (finally) made it to 100 episodes! And on top of that? My 100th episode publishes on my BIRTHDAY! So, let’s double celebrate!
As I reflect on the top five lessons I’ve learned through producing 100 podcast episodes, I also want to issue you five challenges. Then, I want to share some reflections and real talk about my past less than festive year because you know I’m transparent and someone needs to hear my story.
Be sure to tune in for the backstory on each of the five lessons, but here is the quick recap to follow along:
Top 5 Lessons Learned in 100 Episodes
Lesson 1: People are AWESOME!
YOUR CHALLENGE: Determine who you need to meet and where you need to go to meet them. Then go find the people who can help you on your journey!
Lesson 2: The person who wins is not the best, it’s the person who doesn’t give up!
YOUR CHALLENGE: Identify something that you think you can’t do or are not good enough to do – something you are hesitant about doing — and then commit to a time frame that you absolutely won’t give up, no matter how many times you fail.
Lesson 3: Get out of your comfort zone.
YOUR CHALLENGE: What are you not doing right now because you are afraid you are going to look stupid? What do you need to get out of your comfort zone? Decide what that is, then do it!
Lesson 4: People need your light.
YOUR CHALLENGE: Fill in the blank: My light is that I do ______________. (And then put that in the comments of YouTube or my social media for this episode or email me what that is at [email protected].)
Lesson 5: Just do you.
YOUR CHALLENGE: Listen to episode #5 and develop your personal brand so you are clear on who you are and how you best serve others to develop unshakeable confidence.
Birthday Reflections
There’s been a lot of change in my life in the past year. I mean A LOT. All is well and love reigns, but as real as I’ve always been with you all, it felt like a good time to finally pull back the curtain and let you know about some of the changes. Maybe it will encourage you or explain some of the wonkiness of a “branding expert’s” inconsistency, and I know it will allow me to step into the light and out of the shadows, so I can get back to being who I am and doing what I do best.
Importantly, I want you to know you are seen, treasured, and let me be clear that serving you is my life’s work. Thank you for being exactly who you are.
Here’s to a fresh year of life and another 100 episodes! xo
